What is the process to renew a Certified Family Partner (CFP) Certification?

This article summarizes the requirements to renew a Certified Family Partner credential.

 

RECERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS The CFP certification shall be issued for a period of two (2) years, therefore requiring an individual to recertify every two (2)years on that same date. The requirements for recertification shall be as follows: 

 

1. Absent of any ethical or malpractice violations. 

 

2. Completion of twenty (20) hours of continuing education by a TCB or HHSC approved provider.

 

3. Submission of an application including a signed copy of the ethical standards for Certified Family Partner. 

 

SUBMISSION CHECKLIST Please submit the following items to recertify your credential: Completed recertification application form Signed Code of Ethics Signed Assurances and Releases Documentation of 20 continuing education hours in the form of Continuing Education certificates
